Magical Lantern Festival Manchester
See Christmas Illuminated at Philips Park Manchester
The Magical Lantern Festival makes its Manchester debut at Philips Park as part of the expanding UK festival tour. Due to the exceptional demand for tickets, to accommodate more visitors, we will be open five days a week from Wednesday to Sunday each week and open every day during the Xmas holidays apart from Xmas Eve and Xmas Day.
This year's Christmas themed Lantern Festival will illuminate the park turning it into a spectacular fusion of dual culture, vibrant colours and artistic sculptures! Prepare to enter a magical experience and discover life-sized and large-than-life lanterns in all shapes and forms, from 'Penguins on Ice' and 'Ancient Temple of Heaven' lantern to a magnificent 'Footballing Lantern Recreation' celebrating the city's love affair with the beautiful game.
We promise visitors a truly amazing experience, a visual feast of light and illumination, hidden amongst the lanscaped grounds of Philips Park, which lends itself perfectly to the layout of the lanterns with its combination of lakes, woodland, gardens and pathways.
The festival will not only wow visitors with its beautiful hand-sculpted lanterns, the entertainment area adds another dimension to this wonderful night out with a food and drink area, bar, Santa's Grotto, handful of fairground rides for children and merhandise marquee where visitors can buy a souvenir of their experience to take home. The festival is open from 5pm to 10pm with last entry at 9pm.
There really is no better family-friendly festival to visit this Christmas.
